3 Ingredient - Perfect Easy Scones

This recipe is an absolute keeper! My blog serves as a collection of recipes I have tried, love and never want to lose. This one seems way too easy to forget but just in case...

I recently came across this 3 ingredient scone recipe. It’s made from any carbonated lemonade, heavy cream and self raising flour.

Scones with Jam and Cream

To test I first made a half batch. It was way too easy and delicious so I ended up making 3 more half batches that week. 3 out of the 4 times we ate them with jam and whipped cream. It was amazing! One time I added a bit of salt, some cheddar cheese, and finely chopped green onion. After it was baked, I served it with a pat of butter. Both versions were gobbled up by my family almost immediately. I also tried to make this into a strawberry shortcake, but that didn’t work out too well. I highly recommend the jam and cream or the savory version.

Each time I made them, they turned out so light and fluffy. I followed the tips from the author about mixing just until it came together, not twisting the cutter, and lifting and moving with a knife. I used to be horrible at making scones and they would come out slightly dense but not this version!

I used Sprite for my carbonated lemonade on 2 batches and San Pellegrino on 2 batches. Both turned out great. I think any carbonated beverage could work if one wanted to experiment.

It’s so so so good and too easy not to give it a try!
